Q Fan

Q, the letter, confounds you in Scrabble. Q, the character, amuses you in James Bond. And Q, the subway line, frustrates you in Brooklyn. Now, Q, the fan, can keep you cool in the summer. Swiss designer Carlo Borer conceived the Q, a surprisingly practical design: the circular shape (14.2 inches diameter) is perfect for a fan, and the "tick" sticking out the side keeps the thing from rolling away — genius!
The shiny design is thanks to the stainless steel and aluminum construction, and there are three speeds to choose from. Want one for your desk? Be sure to get an electrical adapter, too, since the Q is made only for European voltages. Staying cool via the 17th letter in the alphabet will cost you $200.
